There are as many reasons families choose to homeschool as there are types of people.

·        Religious Concerns

·        Behavior/Social Problems

·        Learning differences

·        Peer Pressure/ Bad Influences

·        Quality Time with Children

Many families long for a closer relationship with their children.

Homeschooling helps parents to “bring them up in the way they should go”.

·        Academic Excellence

According to the Washington Homeschool Research Project, which has analyzed the SAT scores of  homeschooled children in Washington State since 1985, homeschooled children test above average, regardless of income, race or parent's level of education.

Another significant achievement of homeschooled children is that the National Merit Scholarship Corporation has chosen a significant number of homeschooled high school seniors as semifinalists.

"The most potent force for change... is the growing recognition of millions of adults that their own impoverished expectations and frustrations came, in large measure, from their schooling."
