Prerequisites: Algebra I

Upon successful completion of this course, your child will be very well-prepared for his college chemistry course. She/he will learn the following:

• rigorous foundation in chemistry

• significant figures, units, classification

• the mole concept

• stoichiometry

• thermochemistry

• thermodynamics

• kinetics

• acids and bases

• redox reactions

• solutions

• atomic structure

• Lewis structures

• molecular geometry

• the gas laws, and equilibrium

This is a lab science and laboratory activities will be done in class.
