Grapevine Botanical Gardens Field trip 411 Ball St., Grapevine, TX
**younger siblings must stay with parent and may not be able to participate in all activities. Come join us for a fun filled day at the gardens. We will have a general tour of the gardens and will be participating in hands on plant and insect viewing through a microscope. The field trip will take approximately 2 hours. There is a picnic area located within the gardens for our use. ***I will need the exact number of participating students, parents, and siblings by the 19th of September. Field Trip Henrietta Creek Orchard Oct 20, 2011 @ 11:30 14255 Old Denton Rd, Roanoke, TX 76262 817-439-3202 Duration 1.5 hours. http://www.henriettacreekorchard.com/ For more than 17 years Henrietta Creek Orchard has been and continues to be, an educational experience for preschool and school age children. The children come to the orchard and learn about, bees, pollination, honey extraction, apples, composting, earthworms, colored cotton, butterflies, insects, spiders, and herbs. The principles of agriculture, biology, history and botany are intertwined in the program. Master gardening and Junior Master gardening are also discussed. We have an observation bee hive for children to view the bees working. The cost is $6.00 per person (children & parents). We must provide a minimum head count and pay for the field trip by September 28th. If you would like attend this field trip please RSVP to Catherine Honaker and we will make arrangements for you to get the money turned in for the trip. Please include a head count for your family ( # of children, # of adults).
