     According to the Washington Homeschool Research Project, which has analyzed the SAT scores of  homeschooled children in Washington State since 1985, homeschooled children test above average, regardless of income, race or parent's level of education.

     Another significant achievement of homeschooled children is that the National Merit Scholarship Corporation has chosen a significant number of homeschooled high school seniors as semifinalists.
